Service Description
Join us Wednesday Aug 5th 5-9pm for a NCBTMB Approved 3 CEU Trauma-Informed Massage Practice: Ethics, Consent & Client Communication. course led by Krystal Stone, MS, LMT, provides licensed massage therapists with a structured, trauma-informed framework for ethical intake, informed consent, client communication, and discussions of professional touch practices. Participants will explore how nervous system responses, stress physiology, and client presentation may influence therapeutic interactions while remaining grounded within the massage therapy scope of practice. Drawing from trauma-informed care principles, Polyvagal-informed concepts, and professional ethics literature, this course emphasizes creating physical and emotional safety through predictable communication, client autonomy, professional boundaries, and responsive touch. Therapists will learn to recognize signs of dysregulation, adapt communication and pacing appropriately, and reduce the potential for re-traumatization within clinical practice. This course does not train therapists to provide psychotherapy or trauma treatment. -It also serves as a prerequisite for Krystal Stone's 15 NCBTMB approved course Manual Activation of Polyvagal Protocol "MAPP" (a manual approach to treating the vagus nerve).
